For many years we attended the London Wine Fair wearing different hats: one as an importer, one as the generic body for Wines of Portugal and also Wines of Brasil, and one as the creators of Esoterica. Esoterica worked brilliantly as a hub inside the fair for visitors to find good independent retailers. However, we often saw wine producers without distributors getting lost in the Fair and not receiving the attention from buyers that they deserved. So, one evening whilst in the back of taxi, Ana had the eureka moment and Wines Unearthed was conceived!
With the support from Ross Carter, the Wines Unearthed area at The London Wine Fair was launched in 2015 and it’s gone from strength to strength ever since.
Wines Unearthed is expanding to other International fairs in years to come, starting with Wine Paris in 2024!
With over 30 years experience in the trade, originally as an importer and more latterly as an entrepreneurial marketeer and events creator, Judy runs with the ethos that business matching is key to success in the trade.
